Next you’ll be telling me David Copperfield didn’t really make the Statue of Liberty disappear for a short period of time.

I use to drive David home from Ring 200 (of the International Brotherhood of Magicians) meetings in North Brunswick New Jersey in the early 70’s. He was 14 years old and annoying… but you could tell by all his annoying rambling and bragging and self confidence that he had what was needed to get to the top.

He did.

He performed one of my original magic effects on Carson in the 80’s.
