I’m not that technically literate but do all of those words come down to “the hackers are good guessers”? They fooled around until they got the actual passwords and security question answers on multiple people all on the same day?

I remember back when I was a kid doing small time hacks we used to use a program called crackerjack that would run random combinations of numbers and letters until it found a match for a password. We’d leave it running for hours and go do stuff then come back to a list of passwords/usernames.

Now to be clear we never used that information for anything nefarious. We just wanted to see if we could get into a network. Never stole anything, never planted viruses, never did any of that crap. We just tried to get in, then got out.
