Long as we’re recommending stuff — I’ve been reading like crazy lately, and I just got done with “Down Among the Sticks and Bones,” the second book in Seanan McGuire’s “Wayward Children” series. It’s muy bueno.

The first book, “Every Heart a Doorway,” focuses on a private school for kids who’ve traveled to other worlds, like Oz and Wonderland and Narnia, and then, for one reason or another, come back to the “real world.” Their parents think they’re crazy, but they just want to go back to what they think is their real home. The second book is a prequel with its focus on Jack and Jill, twins who travel to “The Moors” — i.e., the setting for every old black-and-white horror movie.

Both books are excellent and recommended. :)
