Muslims can touch a pigskin in the case of need, they just can’t eat it or pray in it. For example, it is permissable for a Muslim doctor or nurse to remove a patient’s pigskin clothing or shoes in order to treat them. A Muslim policeman may open a pigskin wallet while looking for identification or other documents.
