Tom Nichols is having a lot of fun on his timeline, having said that rural America should stop thinking of itself as ‘Default American’, because since the founding of the Republic, the population has consistently been getting less and less rural. This came out of an article from someone visiting some small town where the gas station also sells enough guns to outfit the Wolverines.

This led to a lot of rural types touting their superiority over the Coastal Elites….

Isn’t Nichols from Wisconsin? And yeah I get tired of rural America’s superiority complex and its idea that it’s “real America”. It’s all “real America” but to be honest the cities and burbs resemble more what we are.
