IIRC, the $150,000 is basically to take a Consulate building and slap “US Embassy” signage on it. So they’ll have a small Embassy in Jerusalem, and a really big Consulate in Tel Aviv.

That’s pretty much what I’m expecting, for them to just “renovate” the current consulate by changing all the signs, putting in some new stationary, slap on some new paint, and pretend that it’s a “new” embassy.
