He’s not even on any committee involving foreign policy let alone intelligence. He’s reserves military but a chaplain and I won’t dismiss that position’s importance to the military but this guy would be a bad choice to be on the Intel committee. Trumps cabinet picks get more and more absurd as Trump loyalists dominate the opportunists.

The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004, which created among other things the office of DNI, requires “Any individual nominated for appointment as Director of National Intelligence shall have extensive national security expertise.” Collins doesn’t even come close to meeting that bar.
