The one thing that strikes me about the above article is that Dennis Prager has put alot of thought into gay sex, including whether or not lesbian or male on male sex ranks above the other. That plays into something psychological that only Mr. Prager can explain to us.

It’s the result of our sexist society: male homosexuality is perceived as hyperthreatening in a hetreronormative world predicated on the power of the penis. Sex without a penis isn’t even really sex, on this way of thinking. That’s why you won’t find the same mythologies and anxieties expressed about gay women. For all the chrstian right’s obsession with the notion of women’s ebil sexuality, the so-con right believes that women’s sexuality is something FOR men. Nonexistent without men.

So lesbian sex isn’t threatening to them— it’s even arousing, because they think it’s incomplete until that man (themselves) steps into the picture. Gay male sex though— whoa! Let’s obsess on every freaky anatomical detail!

Because in the mind of the homophobe, yep, it always is always ABOUT THEM— the choices individuals make about how to live their own lives.

Lesbians only freak out the homophobes when they start trying to take on the role of mother. THAT smashes the rules they’ve set up.
