The “Alien” director’s cut / special edition DVD is overflowing with extras, including really cool behind-the-scenes stuff. If you go for that kind of thing, I can’t recommend it highly enough. There’s a huge amount of artistry that went into the making of that film. It still holds up over 30 years later, even against mega-budget CGI-laden blockbusters.
