How long does it normally take for that race?

The elite riders finish in just over 9 hours. 9:16 won last year. The slower riders work like hell to finish before the coarse closes at dark. Surprisingly few spectators along the coarse. Its no Boston marathon. I bring my cooler, beer, cow bells and a lawn chair and cheer for every rider at about mile 180.
