That xkcd makes the point that the bottom half of the country has 1/39th the wealth of the top half. Add to that the fact that the bottom 40% have less than $500 savings each, this highlights how obscene the Republican’s/FOX News’ drive to raise taxes on the lower half is, and that horrible lie that the bottom half “doesn’t pay taxes”… (everyone knows the distinction between payroll taxes and income taxes is an arbitrary legalistic nothing)

By the way, I didn’t notice Grover Norquest complaining when the Republicans talked about raising the payroll tax - when they’re against “tax” they don’t mean tax on poor people.
