I don’t take Bono seriously. A billionaire rattling on about world poverty - what a hypocriate. Of course Bono doesn’t support revolutionary social change and full independence for a colonial holding - his class interests are one where he benefits from the status quo. There’s probably a Connolly quote somewhere about how replacing a colonialist capitalist with a native capitalist doesn’t change anything, and it would apply perfectly to Bono.

So we compare Bono to Romney (or equivalent), and this is supposed to look bad for Bono how? I’ll take what I can get, and for now neutral or positive plutocrats are distinctly better than malignant plutocrats.
