re: #6 Dark_Falcon
You know, usually my sense of “there be for the Grace of God go I” keeps me from gloating about the misfortunes of others… but not this time!
Sorry, but its really hard not to gloat when watching a “Palin FAIL”.
This is not a Palin problem, it’s a society problem. People just aren’t willing to work at marriages anymore. We do a great job of glamorizing the search for love but there’s a decided lack of examples of strong marriages in mainstream culture today.
On top of that I think a lot of couples give up too easy. My wife and I have been married for almost 5 years now and I am still madly in love with her and have a strong marriage but I’ve also put a lot of work into it. You can’t expect a relationship to survive on autopilot nor can you think a person will magically change after the ring goes on their finger.
Marriage is a commitment and a roller coaster ride. It is pleasure and it is pain, it is sacrifice and it is reward.
