IMO. In My Opinion. The moderate GOP is in denial about the base. Obviously my views and theirs differ greatly and often.

I think what it is regarding Rice is on paper she’s an intriguing candidate, a woman of color, former Sec of State but I think she does know her limits which is why she’s turned down candidacies. I think she knows she’s more of an administrator or behind the scene types than politician. Madeline Albright never really had any electoral ambitions either.Obama’s two SoSs are actually pretty rare in that they’re both former senators that have had presidential ambitions. This is more closer to the older days when SoS was a stepping stone to the presidency but recent years SoS’s have been more less career bureaucrats/diplomats.
