I am not a guy, and I know it’s not my place to tell women what to wear, but, to me, they should all go in the garbage, and no more should be made. Not only can I tell it’s uncomfortable to walk in them, but all your body weight pushing your foot down into the front of the shoe has distorted the shape of women’s feet. It reminds me way too much of the old Chinese practice of binding women’s feet.

If you are not a lightweight person it also puts a huge amount of pressure on the ball of the foot as you’ve reduced the area the weight is spread over, as well as changing the pressure on the hips and knees. Before my knee replacement I couldn’t wear anything but the flattest of flats without serious knee pain.
Women who want to wear them can certainly do so, but requiring anyone to wear them? No.
