Any majority-race seems to turn into assholes to minorities, and more so as they lose majority status. It just happens to be white people in America.

But not ONLY in America.

Years ago, someone asked my if I wasn’t proud to be white because of all white people had accomplished. It struck me as an odd question. I guess I’d say that being white isn’t that important to me.

Mind you, that’s a big part of white privilege - to be able to choose not to care about being white, because you still get all the benefits. I don’t think you get to choose, if you’re nonwhite, not to care about your race, because everyone else will.
