Rush was a failed Top 40 DJ that took over for Morton Downey Jr. and grafted that whackjob’s moronic (and shitty) act with his generic DJ delivery.

It was a ripe situation for mass manipulation once Reagan (who Rush never voted for… he just didn’t vote) ended the Fairness Doctrine.
