Yeah, imagine that. We’ll see how it’s staged but it’s generally a tactic I dislike. It can potentially come off looking cheap.

Look, I’ll give you some leeway in that yes, it can come off looking like a cheap way to score points, especially with the idiotic “oh won’t you please think of the children!” bullshit we see behind things like the freakout about a nipple during a Superbowl halftime show. Most of the time the whole children issue is nothing more than cover to push an agenda.

But in this case, it’s kids who have written letters to the President who are being involved in the process. And considering recent events, yes, it is about the children. Hell, he should have some others there as well; movie-goers, college students, people who attend political events, maybe some of the kids who are now adults who were in Columbine, some Sikhs, and many other victims I’m leaving out.

Considering how heartless the opposition is, I’m all for dirty pool.
