Well, the bad guy got the gun.

The idiocy and logical failing here is astounding because every single one of the right wing/GOP/NRA tropes failed miserably.

1) The good guy with the gun failed to stop a mass shooting.
2) More good guys with guns were not able to stop a mass shooting.
3) The bad guy was still able to get the gun no matter how many laws were in place.
4) The good guys didn’t take out the bad guy.
5) But for the easy availability of guns, the shooter wouldn’t have been able to get guns, let alone the AR-15 that has become a weapon of choice in mass shootings across the nation.
6) But for the NRA/GOP blocking meaningful gun control, gun violence continues at a rate far in excess of every US peer nation.
7) States dominated by the GOP have lax gun laws and also have far higher per capital gun death rates than those with strong gun laws.

This is where we are, and this is what has to change - it includes voting out the GOP/NRA and ending the NRA stranglehold on gun control.
