Which, disgracefully, he can, and probably will, get away with. I mean, it may even be true: Donald Trump seems to be “unaware” of a great many things. To me, it means little, though: that a Presidential campaign could be rotten with under-the-table foreign influence and shady dealings over stolen data is scandal enough - even if one can accept that the candidate himself was out-of-the-loop* - it’s still a terrible verdict on their judgement that they wouldn’t police their organization better.

Everyone around him will do time, but suspect that he will walk. And even if he loses most of his assets, he can recoup them with book tours and appearances.
