Everything is pointing to immunity from COVID to be rather short lived. I believe all the vaccines in testing need multiple injections and boosters over time.

Therefore “Herd Immunity” might not even being a thing with COVID. So they could kill millions for nothing.

People keep saying this, and I’m not seeing evidence of it. Yes, there have been a very, VERY small number of reinfections, but that’s out of millions of documented cases.

The virus mutates, but what I’m hearing is that it’s not a fast-mutating virus, certainly not on the order of influenza or HIV. The particular proteins that vaccines are targeting are especially unlikely to mutate. Boosters, maybe, but I doubt the yearly guessing cycle of flu shots will be the model.

And if we can stomp it down with wide enough vaccination, then there will be fewer strains developing that can cause problems.
