I think people are forgetting how totally ordinary the things Joy Reid wrote were in 2006. LGBT awareness has changed enormously since then (for the better, I think), but in 2006 it wasn’t unusual at all for people to say and write these kinds of things, usually framed as snark or sarcasm.

It’s no coincidence to me they’re going after her because she’s a big critic of Trump and Bernie both. TBH she probably does deserve some criticism for past stances but the people leading it like Greenwald have no credibility at all given their pasts and present.
