It gets considerably more expensive as your pet ages. still less than human insurance but my dog is almost 13 now and I am considering not renewing. At her age if she gets cancer or something I am not likely to want to put her through the treatment, or surgery or anything to stressful.

That’s the other side of the consideration. And that I don’t always trust insurance to come through.
