France’s little sidequest in Mali seems to be doing well. And they seem to have brought most of Sub-Saharan Africa to the party.

They are now quickly advancing on Timbuktu, after taking Gao in the last 24 hours.

Taking Timbuktu is the easy part. Holding it after Al Qaeda starts in with the suicide bombers and IEDs is the hard part.
