We warned these people. They called us snowflakes, cucks, etc. I’m sorry but my sympathy for Trump voters is really thin at this point. I don’t want anyone hurt but I have no problem mocking them as idiots who repeatedly vote for a party and ideology that only cares about the wealthy and using social scapegoats i.e. illegal immigrants, gays, etc to distract from the former.

We (all humans, to varying degrees) are pre-programmed to follow someone who is very sure of himself, even if we’re not sure that he’s right. (And I use “him/he” intentionally-women can lead this way as well, but it seems easier for men.) We are likely to revise our opinions to match those of our peers and believe that’s what we really believed all along.

Trump was very, very good at projecting that confidence and assuring a lot of people with disparate interests that he understood their individual needs. He was all things to all people.
