In other news - three of my favorite musical acts (in no particular order)

Dwight Yoakam

are all playing on Long Island tomorrow night. Of course, the wife and I are going into Manhattan to have dinner with friends from Oregon.

Timing is everything. I don’t seem to have it this week.

Dwight is basically a Columbus guy. He was born in Kentucky, but came to Columbus as a youngster. Graduated from old North High School. Even went to OSU for a bit.

He has a bit of classic rock and swing going in his stuff. I think he has a bit of that Bakersfield sound that Buck Owens and some others created.
