I think there is a reason for that. David Duke only got a small portion of his generation (Boomers) to buy into his crap.

Sadly it appears Spencer has a far greater backing from his, thus making him bring enough numbers for the media to want to cover him. And his “topic” seems to be way more popular now than when Duke started to get national attention in the late 70s early 80s.

This is a bad change in directions for our country.

I think that’s because boomers had well-paying jobs handed to them whether they were skilled or not. People who see their standard of living fall well below their parents, who fell below their own parents, are much more receptive to xenophobia.
