It’s common for big companies to grant discounts to large organizations. It’s a way to lock in some business with the hope that any discount will be covered by increased business from new customers brought by the organization.

What I would like to know is the politics of the FedEx board and how close they are to the NRA and the Republican party. They may be making a decision that could cost them and seem ready to live with it.

the whole statement:

“FedEx is a common carrier under Federal law and therefore does not and will not deny service or discriminate against any legal entity regardless of their policy positions or political views.”

“FedEx has never set or changed its rates for any of our millions of customers around the world in response to their politics, beliefs or positions on issues.”

“FedEx opposes assault rifles being in the hands of civilians.”
