The problem is that the Republicans who are not as bad as Trump have no chance of winning the nomination, or even making the attempt. Maybe Cheney will try but the GOP doesn’t even consider her a Republican these days. As much as we detest her, “furrowed brow” Collins would be far better than any of the current crop of possible candidates, as would Murkowski or Charlie Baker or (maybe) Ben Sasse or (gag me with a spoon) Mitt Romney.

Except DeSadist *IS* as bad as trump. He’s just in slicker, smarter packaging. Actually, DeSadist is everything trump is except possibly a spy. He’s more fascist then trump for sure.
