One of the less obvious but still critical issues is integration of combat unit barracks. Yes, most are ‘dorm rooms’, but there’s still the bathroom and shower issue. The issues of rape and sexual assault, already a problem, are going to have to be addressed again — and we’re probably going to have to roll some heads. Doing it as a lump is going to be problematic and expensive.

Honest question, because I don’t know my ass from my elbow where the military is concerned: why would barracks have to be integrated when they aren’t integrated already?

Another question along that line: how did the Soviets handle it in WWII?
