They’d probably be pretty happy with how the country’s turned out. Happy that we’re still going strong. Unhappy that we needed a civil war to get rid of slavery and adhere to the principle that all men are created equal bit.

Since so many of the founders were Federalists, they’d be okay with a strong central government.

They’d be amazed at the military prowess of the country, and the vast industrial capacity that came into existence as well as the technological sophistication now in place.

Seeing how the nation was a social experiment in a new form of governance, I’d say that they’d be happy that we’re still around more than 230 years later.

I’d hope so. I’d love to know what the reaction would be to an African American President, though. I would imagine more than a few of them would be less than thrilled with the idea.
