re: #132 Sir John Barron

Thanks. I am planning to keep him. I’ve gotten very attached to him while feeding him outside all this time.

When I was a kid, we had a dog and a stray cat that my mom would feed on the back stoop. She called him “Freddie the Freeloader” after the Red Skelton character. (Google it, young’uns) He was silver tabby with green eyes, but he didn’t care much for Dog, so we were never able to get him in the house.

He was also people-shy. The only way he’d come close would be if the storm door were between the cat and us, when we put the food dish down. If he saw any of us in the backyard, he’d take off like a shot.
