Side note: The wife and I made a snap decision to go to the NY Auto Show at Javits Center last night.

Pretty disappointing. We’ve gone for the last three years, and it’s gotten progressively more exclusive to the major manufacturers. The small shops doing custom work (which was always the most interesting part of it for me) have been squeezed out entirely, and the Classic Cars section (my second favorite part) displayed six cars. Six goddamned cars. The show itself took up roughly half the space it occupied last year - there was a second wing of Javits that showed smaller cars last year, and it was closed off to the public last night.

We’ve most likely attended our last NY Auto Show.

The one car that caught my attention was the Karma Revero, an electric made in SoCal that generates a good percentage of its power through an array of solar panels incorporated into its roof. And it was freaking gorgeous.

But with a price tag starting at $130K, it’s not on my short list of purchases at this time.
