Looks like the meal card.

I used to eat in the towers basement. Iirc, there was an additional dining room in the medical school or engineer school.

I remember that some anonymous soul in one corner of the dining room used to peel the top waxed cover off the butter patties. And then would throw them onto the ceiling. Where, somehow, he managed to get them to stick. Throughout the term the numbers of patties would increase. At the beginning of the next term, they would all be gone.

Strange, the details we remember over half a century later.

IIRC, the Student ID had punch holes all over and had one’s social security number embossed on it. This being before the stealing social security numbers was easily done. Which is why I do not want to put mine on the web.

Well, that and the fact that in 1972, I apparently looked even more like a dork than I remember.

There were still butter pats and forks being adhered/embedded into the drop ceiling panels of the Towers Cafeteria in the early 80s.

I think the alternative cafeteria was a small one in Lothrop Hall - near the medical school and not the engineering building (Benedum).
