That script needs to be flipped. Republicans do not even respond to their own voters, because their real constituents are the businesses who own them. Since Ronald Reagan was elected, Movement Conservative has sought to conserve and expand power wherever it can.

The NRA is in real trouble between the courts in New York and the scandal within its own board. Their own members have been stripped of the power to replace board members, but board members are attacking and suing each other already. When conservatives have no external enemies, they cannabilise themselves.
