I’m seeing the difference here in the Midwest.

Blue counties - ie Cook in Illinois, Dane in Wisconsin - people are wearing masks in stores, bars are not crammed, folks seem to be careful even in parking lots.

Rural areas: bars are full of maskless rednecks shouting defiance at the TV. Parking lots are shouting war zones at Walmart.

The effects are being felt:
