This is the other problem with a protracted war: on the one hand, the West is losing its enthusiasm for it, but it grows progressively harder and harder for Putin to maintain that they are somehow doing the Ukrainians a favor by liberating them from Zionist Nazi Capitalist Puppetmasters.

I’m not seeing a whole lot of waning enthusiasm for supporting Ukraine. There might be less TV images, but with Sweden and Norway trying to join NATO, and the funding we’re sending, the West is staying pretty engaged. And part of that is because a number of countries think now is the time for Russia, Putin in particular, to lose its military power as it’s currently constructed.
