The key word here is always. Israel is not perfect, so it isn’t always unfairly singled out (though it probably is much more often than it should be).

Muslims are often lumped together as a group and criticized unfairly. Does that mean Muslims should always defend other Muslims publicly and only criticize them in private?

Part of the whole problem with religious cults like Christianity, Islam, etc. is that they separate people into such artificially-defined categories in the first place.
