Yeah the Depression is a big difference here. But yes resentment that’s the big selling point for conmen through the ages. The other thing is that Hitler was more competent and intelligent.

That’s the biggest thing right there. Hitler was just as lazy as Trump, quite frankly - even in the cauldron of WW2, he was still living like some Bohemian artist.

On D-Day, the reason German forces didn’t deploy their available armor in the Normandy area (not that there was a huge amount of it) was because Hitler was asleep until about 10 A.M…….and no one dared to wake him up. That right there is flagrant irresponsibility from all involved.
