When I was in Business School in Paris, my Spanish language TA was a man who’d managed to leave Chile (Pinochet’s) by the skin of his teeth. As he told story, a couple of hours later, he would have been arrested and disappeared. And he was just a language teacher.

This is a good article about James Buchanan, the economist who promoted oligarchic economics along with the Kochs. His trial run was under Pinochet. Now it’s being used against us/US.
