Speaking of election fraud, I’m curious how the whole matter with NC-09 is gonna play out next week. The board broke up without certifying the election, which the NC GOP continues to insist they “won” because despite all the evidence to the contrary they insist it was perfectly legit and nobody proved otherwise, so I don’t know if they’ve any legal standing to challenge the House Dems refusing to seat Harris.

I think any “legal challenge” is likely doomed from the start, as I believe it is a Constitutional provision that each House of Congress is responsible for setting the terms of, and regulating the admission of their respective members. So NC-09 is likely to remain vacant until the state can get its act together.

Also: from Anne Laurie at Balloon Juice: : remember that BFD “probe” House (GOP) Reps. were going to stage to investigate the “disparate” investigations the FBI did on the 2016 Clinton and Trump campaigns? Don’t worry, I’d forgotten it, too: Bob Goodlatte and Trey Gowdy have apparently wrapped up the first phase of their probe, and sent a letter along to DoJ, the IG and Mitch McConnell (?). Bottom line: more investigation needed. (Translation: “We got nuthin’”)
