I’m still hoping to pick up my first real foreign language skills, even at 50. Oddly enough I’m pretty much down to a real dive in to either of my high school language class languages - German or Spanish. I’ve mucked about with bits of Greek and Latin over the years, mostly their influence on English, and have your average dojo student’s understanding of Japanese. Learning a language for real, though, feels refreshingly badass to me at midlife. Heh.

I want to brush up on the French that I learned in high school & college, so I’m watching Disney movies with the French language option. It’s a bit tricky since the DVD’s are Region 1 so it’s Canadian French.
