Vindman’s testimony tomorrow is going to be powerful, but I’m looking forward most to Sondland on Wednesday. There’s really no way he avoids jail and avoids throwing Trump under the bus. Even pleading the fifth is unlikely to stop a perjury charge in light of recent revelations. And that leaves the Repubs in an absolutely horrid position, because the more they attack him, the more likely it is that he decides he’s better off just coming clean in the hopes of leniency.

He could lie and hope Trump pardons him (I don’t think Trump will because he is loyal only to himself). But that just turns into another article of impeachment.
