So we’re looking at not getting the virus under control until February:

The same as every virus. The idea that a disease will create herd immunity is quackery.

If it was true, we’d have been immune to everything from measles to smallpox. What got those diseases under control was vaccinations.

For viruses like Ebola, SARS, and MERS, it was aggressive contact tracing and quarantine.
