Yeah, that’s why I added the note that it could lead to demonstrations. I’d hope that it wouldn’t lead to intimidation tactics, but I guess I wouldn’t bet against it.

It’s distasteful in any event - even if it is just a request to drum up support for policies.

It’s part of his plan to keep his base involved and interested. From the weekly e-mails, to the local meet and greets, it’s politically savvy way to keep the base fired up by making them feel like they have a voice in policies. It’s clearly a new way of pushing his agenda too.
