You probably mean every bit of Muslim terrorism that’s occured in the U.S. 52 killed in a Baghdad church, a suicide bomber in Istanbul. But that’s O.K. An american blog should deal with american politics and issues.
I’m talking about the near disappearance of the terms “Islamic Terror” , “terror” and “Islamism”. The once vividly captioned and opinionated posts have turned into completely neutral news quotes (on this matter). You get the same info here and on CNN. If CNN and Obama don’t say it than it won’t show up here.
On one hand there are always people that will read Islamists as muslims and islamic terror as Islam, and so trying to seperate the two only brings them closer together. On the other hand look what’s going on with the tea party (LGF is my main source on american politics), and worse, learn from Europe’s mistakes and don’t go there.

My take is that in Europe for many years the leadership didn’t seperate the extremists from the majority of muslim immigrants. Terms like Islamism or islamic terror were (mostly still are) non P.C and verbotten. The extremists took over the funds and arabic media because they were more motivated and loud, like all extremists are, and they got extra funding from the Saudis and Iran. The majority of non muslim europeans, the ones interested in job security and soccer and not so much in history or Islam came to see the extremists as representatives of all muslims and so came to fear all muslims. The leadership still refused to even acknowledge the existance of Islamism and so riots and neo-nazi parties started to blossom. Now the vast mojority of muslims were in a fix - on one hand hooligans and neo-nazis hitting them, humiliating them and excluding them. On the other hand the extremists hitting them and humiliating them whenever they try to fit in and resist the ways of the hellish regimes they have escaped. Add to that an ignorant non muslim leadership that isn’t aware of their strife and an islamist brainwash of their children and youth at their schools and mosques (remember they got the money to feed those kids and give them extra school time). Now Europe has a large number of muslim ghettoes were police dares not enter and where loosely dressed women,queers and Jewish people dare not walk, and also areas where most people vote for neo-nazi parties and muslims dare not walk. Now the leadership finally awakens and tries to appease both sides (the Merkel statement that was mentioned here), but it will take a lot of effort to put things right again there.
