First thing that needs to be done: Force Germany from continuing to force Greece to buy its arms. Greece is part of NATO, we can make sure they don’t get hurt. Allow Greece to slash defense.

That should be at best the 3rd thing. The first thing is to demand that the Greek government open up the ‘closed professions’ (which includes lawyers and taxi drivers). This should simply demanded of Greece as an ultimatum, with ending of bailout the consequence of defiance. Th object of this would be to force Greece to truckle under to a reasonable demand, and the humiliation it would entail is deliberate. Right now, the people of those ‘closed professions’ are proud beyond their station, as is Greece as a while. The nation must learn its place, then we can talk about giving them concessions.
