I have a nephew who is old enough to know better and firmly believes that if corporations make more profits, they will hire more people and produce more goods which will be purchased by retailers. This will drive demand as people see all these goods in the stores and increase sales, thus stimulating the economy.
The fact that he can’t show where that has ever happened does not affect his belief.
Actually, the owners tell the workers to work harder while wages stagnate, so the owners can afford to pay lobbyists to give them tax benefits.
