He can’t acknowledge that because by acknowledging that, that means admitting the mythical WWC is capable of voting for the same “identity politics” that he shuns social liberals for supporting. It must be nice to be Senator from Vermont, a staunchly liberal state. But the rest of us live in states that actually have not only some cultural diversity but political as well. Hell, in SC and BeachDem can vouch for this, you have Nikki Haley still bragging about keeping the Unions out when Unions are at a historical weak.

Excellent WaPo breakdown of WWC—and this particularly stood out:

Trump campaigned on promises to restore employment in factories and the manufacturing sector through aggressive negotiation on international trade. Yet not that many members of the white working class work traditional manufacturing jobs. Most of them are employed in white-collar or service occupations, according to the Brookings Institution.

Also, while we cry for the poor white working class —

White workers without a degree earn more than workers of other races and ethnicities with similar levels of education, according to the bureau.

median white worker with only a high-school diploma makes $706 in an ordinary week
Latinos/Asians, $611
Blacks, $578
