Something humorous (at least to my wife):

I wanted to put pepper on a bowl of soup I heated. The peppermill was empty, so I asked for more peppercorns.

She handed me this industrial size bottle of peppercorns. Opening this, I could not figure out how to put the peppercorns in the peppermill except one-at-a-time.

She suggested a funnel … duh.

I get out a funnel, and all the peppercorns clogged the narrow end. I turned over the funnel to fill it that way, and they spilled all over the counter to her peals of laughter.

Undeterred, I picked them up one-at-a-time and put them in (the way I wanted to do it in the first place).

Use a small spoon next time. Or make a paper funnel with a larger spout.
